mummy stopped the papers subscription* end of last year, so i don't read it often now.
as in she buys it sometimes, but i never know when she buys it so i have not been reading the papers forever.
i just took this set of papers and sat down to read it.
it's saturday's.
i seriously miss reading the news.
okay i'm not those type who reads about how the war in this country will affect the culture and politics in something somewhere, i'm a very.. uh.. headlines type, or interesting news..
interesting for me is.. like.
not boring.
okay boring is like politics, i cannot ever read politics.
i basically flip, not read, flip through home, straits times and life.
but on saturday there was this special report [as like every saturday's] on 10 economic strategies.
i uh.. didn't read it finish but i found it very interesting!
so it's going to be kept under my table for future reference
[or so i say, for under my table i have 58763954 notes for "future references" from 100 years ago].
but as i read the main section, on indonesian street kids, it was so so sad):
people beg for money to take transport to school. and then he got killed.
they are seen as pests, annoying beggars, but. but. they don't have a choice.
almost half of the homeless in NY are kids.
thailand may have protests.
then i flipped.
more sad news.
flip flip.
sad news.
seriously, are there no good news to report?
oh i have one, the number of fatalities on singapore roads dropping to a 30-year low.
SIGHS. good news indeed. lowest number of deaths in 30 years = good news. in a sad way.
oh but i found this EXCITING news!
horse riding as a CCA!
weekly classes.
whoaaaa.
okay la do have some happy news. about profits and circle line and stuff.
ahaha why am i spouting news here right.
i really really am going to swallow a live rat if i do not start working harder now.
not that i'm actually even starting/trying.
no, revise that.
i am going to place the rat at the tip of my tongue and let it crawl its way into the hydrochloric acid in my stomach.
hope that's a good motivation.
*if it's subscriBe, why is it subscriPtion and not subscriBtion?
