it's not lucky

i'm going through givesmehope.com and sixbillionsecrets.com and i would say i am one of the luckiest people on earth right now.

i am normal.
i have a pair of perfect eyes, (albeit not perfect eyesight)
i have a full pair of arms, 8 fingers, 2 thumbs, fingernails, perfectly mobile.
ditto for legs, feet and toes.
i'm of average height, not too short to suffer from "lack ofs" if there is any in the first place?
i have no permanent illness, or even temporary ones.
i receive education, goodness.
i eat till i'm satisfied.
i am not depressed.
i have friends, whom i can care for and they back at me.
i have a wonderful family, (ignoring stupid annoying brothers)
i have a bed to sleep on,
water to shower,
a roof over my head,
a laptop to type on,
websites to keep me occupied,
shelter in every sense of the word.

My 7 year old cousin was recently diagnosed with cancer.
A month ago, he had half his leg removed. Before he went in for the operation, he said, "oh well, I'm off to get my pirate leg."

does it really take knowing the unfortunate to fully appreciate how blessed i am?
i think so and that's.... ):

i need to spend at least 5 mins a day thanking God for all the wonders i have in my life.
it's not luck, it's love.
