blood donation

i wanted to donate blood last year, mooz signed the form and all, but i forgot to bring it on the second day.
this year, i forgot to let mummy sign my form, so well. haha. but she allowed anyways.
it was interesting watching people get poked up and watch some life being squeezed out of them, and i couldn't wait for my turn.
so fill in form, had sex? no?
this and that, that and this.

then came the station to test for the haemoglobin level in my blood, the first prick. i was nervous, the cold didn't help much.

but it wasn't pain, and the blood that (flowed? flew? haha ha) flowed out cheered me up a little.

no i'm kidding. =.=

optimistic for the actual blood drawing!
then went over to see jobo a bit, watch her trying to force her blood out and the nurse was saying something about how she's cold already and that it's not very safe.
ahhhhh
secretly hoping my veins might be too small, or something.

oooohh my turn!
oh wait, GP after this, hmmm i should draw from the right arm. could i have a right arm chair please?
oh wait, i have been asked to sit on a right-armed chair.
pai seh pai seh
, i scurried over haha.

alcohol! clean clean the area.
first injection, the anesthetic!
a little painful for me, not the first time i turned away from the needle inserted into me.
oh liquid pushed inside.
close my eyes, ant bite. just an ant bite.
the whimp in me didn't even look at the size of the needle.
funny thing was, i took a blood type test once with the same sized needle, and i watched it go in my arm.
then again, it wasn't to draw a bag of blood.

needle's prepared.
look away.
i could feel the numbness of that area when the nurse worked around it, holding it or whatnot to insert the needle.
when is the needle ever going to go in, why so long-
oh! blood has been drawn?
what? i didn't feel a thing!
whoa warm blood heh heh heh

thanks loony for provide all the comic relief, and made me laughed and the nurse came over to tell me not to move my arm!
it was vanadiumly cold, making it difficult to squeeze the heart thingy thang. but 'sall right, i couldn't let anyone doubt my macho-ness.
so i squazed the thing to show my huge bulging biceps.

at the end of it all, the extraction of the needle was done painlessly too, though i was a wuss and looked away. yet didn't feel anything. again.

i like it, the feeling of donating blood.
motives aren't as altruistic as others, a small factor is cause i like blood.
not in a sick murderous way, or in an edward cullen way, or even in a menstration cycle fetish way.
it's a............ i like the colour of blood red and blood is warm and blood has two Os way.
i think i might have some problems.

i always wanted to donate blood every 4 months, but now i'm not so sure.
but i hope to donate every year, perhaps i will learn to fear needles lesser.
