acts of kindness

so i went to watch the play "those who can't, teach" with g and a on sunday.
the title is obvious. those who can't do anything, they go to teaching. hmm relevant isn't it? the mindset of people. who forget that some people re actually passionate about teaching.
and that you know, PhDs are "teachers" in a sense too.
it was a great play, in my opinion anyway. not that i have much experience analysing plays. ahem d and g.
it scared me, the way politics were played out in the play, and how teaching in theory is so different from teaching in reality. argh.

anyway on the way to meeting a at dhoby/ NAFA, g and i went out while it was super hot and humid.
and while at dhoby, walking to NAFA, it started a slight drizzle.
nomnonmom still can, still okay.
until it started raining......... we were just like, o-kay. it's okay, NO OUR SHOES WILL BE RUINED hahaha so we were like wet.
we sought shelter under a tree while at a traffic light, and a truck pulled up on the road ahead of us.
which we didn't really notice.
we were just wondering how come the traffic light doesn't change! oh it's cause we didn't press the placebo button thingaling.
then out came this guy from the truck and he HANDED US PONCHOS!!!!!!!
ahhh so happy! then they drove away, which means that they stopped to give us ponchos!!!!!
we were soooooo happy and faith in humanity restored!
we put it on laughing about where the hoodie is and all, and it was so warm and cosy though we looked like garbage bags.
walking garbage bags.
^^
that's one.

so after the play we were on the way back, when we passed le cafe.
literally le cafe.
apparently it sold the best beancurd tarts and g and a liked it and wanted it, but we went ahead to rochor tau huey first for chillaxing.
so nomnom as usual.
then we went back to le cafe to find out that all the beancurd tarts have been sold out!
we were like, huhhhh, really no more? then we were gonna walk away.
the owner and "okay girls, hold on. i have something for you"
he went to the back of the shop and presented us with 3 slices of cashew fudge brownies!!
TOO MUCH KINDNESS TO TAKE lol not used to it.
it was soooo sweet of him!! he said cause don't want to disappoint us.
awwwwwww!

to commemorate these events, g took a photo of her poncho and the brownies hehe, and cause a said it was raining where she was heading, i gave her the poncho i was intending to keep.

and another one happened on friday when i missed my LRT tutorial, because i slept at 8:30am, fully intending to wake by 9am.
i didn't.
then we went for majors' tea, and mark said that he printed an extra set of LRT notes because he wanted to neaten his notes out, and gave it to me!
TOO SWEET!!!!!!!
it's like, notes, PLUS his own notes inside!
might die soon, but wait there's still one more today.

my english teacher, might not sound like the most proficient teacher ever, but he's all
"i don't actually mind if you pay attention or not"
"or if you come for tutorials"
"it's okay if you didn't do well for this mid terms, there's still finals, your project, and class part. of which everyone gets 100%"
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! class participation (plus attendance) he'll just give full!
i mean it looks suspicious all, but that's so sweet of him!
not really fair but to me it's definitely an encouragement la.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i don't mind living a few years more just to feel excited like this ^^
OH and the other day g got me kinder surprise!!!!!!
i know i said it before but whatever la. and i made her buy gong cha for me for freeeee!
like we take turns buying for each other, or maybe only once, cause it's less troublesome that way.

kindnessssss!
