the earth

isn't the earth amazing? its core is estimated to be 5000 degree celsius, yet its surface can reach negative hundred degrees celsius.
what other things do you know of that is one entity, yet have such differing temperatures?
and the earth is only such a small planet.... imagine the whole universe out there. the magic.

today i took my terribly done test paper from my lecturer, and sat in on a consultation to hear what others had to say. so he asked if i had anything to ask, and cause i said i was coming in for a consultation, i just asked something.
it led to me mentioning how in singapore, the government leads many ecotourism initiatives.
he started laughing and tell me that it's only in singapore.
that in a teitiary instituton, we need to look beyond singapore. fact is, singapore is the exception, and most ecotourism is led by locals efforts.
