Penny

her birth:
i used to have this toy, called a doodle bear. her name was penny.
hated the name. i happen to dislike certain types of names,
penny, peggy, maggie, ..
but it was given to her on the packaging. i got her for one of my birthday presents years ago.

hug me, i promise i'm not an evil teletubby who comes alive at night.
also, draw me nipples, i seem to be missing them.

a doodle bear is something you can -wait for it- doodle on, and the doodles are washable. just toss penny into the washing machine and she comes out a clean canvas for you to degrade / vandalise her once again with the specialised doodle markers.
never really was good with art or decoration, she always looked like a disaster after i was done with a session of doodling. needless to say she only went in the wash 2 - 3 times and then she remained clean (i think) after that.

her death:
one day i was walking home from mcdonalds near my house and i had a phone call from mother.

back story- i had been having mysterious rashes of obscene kinds on my leg and on my body which was causing me a lot of unnecessary itch and discomfort, but we couldn't figure out the source of the tragedy.
side note, i thesaurus-ed "disaster" and one antonym that came up was "act of God". found it hysterical. and uhm questionable.

tadah! my bed was apparently crawling with bed bugs!, as dear mother informed me.
goosebumps just rose on me cuz i'm imagining my bed infested with creepy crawlies.
to put things into perspective, i'd rather stab myself than voluntarily lie with insects.
people who like them are weirdfucks. coughthemalaysiancough.

so i screamed mid-walk cuz i was horrified, but she said she managed to rid them by pouring boiling water over the entire bed frame.
hurrah to brave mother! murdered them bed bugs fat (fed ha-ha pun) with my blood.
and she also told me she cut open penny and out crawled bugs.
thank God i wasn't there to witness it cuz hearing it over the phone i died and regained consciousness again immediately.
i wasn't at all sorry to see penny go, well i didn't actually see her go, but i wasn't missing her anymore.

fun fact 1. i'm still using the same bed frame. i think i had 2 bed bug attacks in my life. have always been the only one in the family, i guess bed bugs either don't migrate beds or they love me.
2. been using this bed frame since primary school.
3. doodle bear was a secondary school present. as was temporary tattoo markers.
