it means so much more to me than she ever knows it will.
because it's the first time it has happened, and i know it has been happening to other students in class.
i don't think i am really deserving of it, but i wholly appreciate that she, vice-dean of graduate studies, associate professor, ex-head of department, mother, etc etc, would bother to remember names of all her students in class, notes the contributions made, and send these emails individually.
even when my friend has been getting it, i felt really wowed by her.
it's the details that matter, it's the little encouragements that sometimes make it all worth it.
and now i feel guilty that i didn't actually do my homework in its entirety.
but thank you, Prof Huang, for noticing me.
